OUR COMPANY

When Formulation Technology opened its doors in 1982, it brought to its clients more than 70 years of combined experience. The company was founded by Bill Hensley and Jed and Celia Meese, respected veterans of the nutritional supplement industry.

Bill was one of a handful of early pioneers assisting in the start up of several nutritional manufacturing firms in California. Jed and Celia had been actively involved in the dietary supplement and pharmaceutical industry since the 1960’s. This seasoned team built FTI on the pillars of quality, integrity, and service—the same foundations that it operates on today.

The company has grown over the decades from just 6 employees to more than 60 and from 5,000 square feet to 40,000 spread across 2 acres. But through all that growth some things remain the same.

President

Keith Hensley

Keith started with the company shortly after it opened its doors, and has been at it ever since. Originally working alongside his dad to learn the ropes, today Keith sets the pace with his employees working hard to maintain solid, successful relationships with customers and vendors alike. Keith’s biggest joy outside of work is spending time with his family, especially in his role as Grandpa to a set of triplets and a set of twins, all under age 4!

General Manager

Matt McBride

Matt has been at the epicenter of manufacturing operations for over 15 years. With a focus on dietary supplement manufacturing he has diligently worked to improve production, processes and efficiencies. Innovation has been on the fore-front of his objectives, creating new products that have influenced a market place. Matt brings a complete understanding of FDA and NSF regulations and compliance requirements. A graduate of University of Utah in Sociology it is the foundation in which Matt has grown his ability to manage team members and engage clients.

Production Manager

Ron Bahadur

Originally from the island nation of Fiji, Ron has been with FTI since the 1980s. Today he is responsible for ensuring that your order is delivered on budget and on schedule. Ron creates and prioritizes the production schedule, allocates personnel and equipment and trouble shoots any issues along the way. From pilots through full production runs, Ron is on top of each job through every step of production. Although he used to play and coach soccer, today he is cheering on his daughters…one just out of college and one soon to graduate!

Product Development

Eric Osman

Eric has worked at FTI for 17 years. This outdoor enthusiast spends his work days sourcing and evaluating raw materials, developing new product as well as reformulated product cost quotations, managing formula adjustments and revisions. He also works with production on prototype development and evaluation and packaging configuration. If you come up and visit, you may see Eric arriving at work on his bicycle.

Director of Operations

Marie Porter

Marie brought 37 years of business experience with her to FTI. As Director of Operations, she oversees multiple departments and is also in charge of the development of systems and tools for manufacturing and packaging. She is also hands-on with compliance of regulatory safety agencies, such as OSHA. When Marie isn’t at work she enjoys spending time fishing and camping with her family and friends.
